Oracle Hyperion Capital Asset Planning (CapEx), a module within Oracle Hyperion Planning, allows for the planning of capital assets and capital asset related expenses.

Often, the approach to customizing Hyperion Capital Asset Planning - adding custom dimensions, additional accounts structures, approvals, justifications, and capital cost comparisons, such as ROI, Payback Period, NPV, IRR - has been unclear to the non-developer. These customizations can be accomplished following a simple blueprint, and some basic rules, for modifying Forms, Business Rules, Smart Lists and Menus.

We will follow Tucson Physicians Center (TPC) as they use Hyperion Capital Asset Planning to review and approve new capital project plans. All capital project requests must have their own P&L Statement and ROI; in addition, requested projects are scored by the capital advisory committee, and the financial results of approved projects are merged with the current budget.
