Oracle Hyperion SmartView for Office provides organizations with a highly-scalable ad-hoc query tool that allows end-users to develop their own reports in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft PowerPoint.  By simply dragging and dropping data on the page, rows or columns, data can be "sliced and diced" in exactly the way that end-users need it.  Because it's built on Oracle Essbase and/or Hyperion Financial Management, response times are near-real-time and allow "speed-of-thought" analysis.  Key benefits of Oracle Hyperion SmartView for Office include:

By using the simple integration tools, end-users can configure quantitative retrievals directly from Oracle Essbase and/or Hyperion Financial Management to populate charts or graphs within Microsoft PowerPoint or Microsoft Word.  Quarterly presentations can simply be "refreshed" with the new quarter's information so financial managers and analysts spend their time managing and analyzing data instead of collecting and preparing it for presentation.
